Dovetailed seams or more accurately cramp seams up the side and around the base all hand cut and hammered then brazed with brass along the seams to seal

Wonderful 1930s raffia basket with carry strap in excellent condition

base is made from copper coated steel as copper isn't very strong so this gives it support and weight
