The surface area is close to the area in a full size barrel so the spirit can spend longer in the barrel to help develop the unique flavours compared to using oak chips or dominoes

These barrels are made from oak sources from cooperages that has been weathered to remove and modify the wood tannins

Since these barrels are custom/hand made to order there may be up to 2 weeks lead time on the barrels

The oak is about 25mm thick so if you wanted to recondition the barrel in the future you can by removing a layer of wood from the inside of the head & refinishing it

Due to them being hand made the volume can also vary from barrel to barrel
