"House in the Mountains" by Josephine Siccard-Redl, (Austrian, 1878-1938) Photogravure and the first print inColor Woodcut, ca. 1930, Ed. unknown, 9 x 12 7 8, signed in pencil, a few small spots in the top margin away from image, glue residue to top corner tips where attached to previous mount, on thin cream laid japan paper. Born in Prague and traveling abundantly, ending up eventually near Buenos Aires, Josephine Siccard Redl was well known for her vibrant color woodcuts.
