Oak leaf glass is first mentioned in Holmegaard's catalogue from 1853
The bowl is very reminiscent of the Christian VIII glass with its facets

Sort Kristian Vedel melamin låg, 14 cm. Øvrige porcelænsvarer Oak leaf glass is firstDiameter 14 cm. Kristian Vedel designed a series of stackable plates and bowls in 1955 for Torben rskov's shop "Form&Farver". This lid belongs to this series. In 1961, this series, made of melamine, won a gold medal at La Triennale di Milano. The series was discontinued around 1972, in connection with the oil crisis, as melamine is extracted from crude oil and could no longer be produced. They are in good condition.
