This new addition to the Icon Series lineup is a recreation of the dogear p-90 pickup using Alnico 2 magnets and plain enamel wire

This decrases the intensity of the inductance in the coils and produces a softer less sharp tone

which helped to maintain a lot of the acoustic characteristics of the instrument

Also not widely known is that there is a slight difference in length between the two pick-ups

With a coil tap which acts like a boost, you can go from mellow smooth tones, to real full on pumping deep bass.
