Chris Ringland, Hoffman Shiraz Size:6x750mlReleased ahead of the 2009, reflecting the even, early vintage, the 2010 could not be more different. It's bursting with blackberry fruit on steroids joined by parma violet florals, followed by savoury layers of prune, liquorice and smoked meat. Dark, juicy and expressive, it has a very persistent salty, mineral finish supported by ripe, powerful tannins. It spent 62 months in 100% new French oak hogsheads.
