Stan Kenton Cuban Fire Capitol Records LP 1956 March 06 2026This album was cleaned on my VPI 16. 5 record cleaner and played on my Rega Planar Three. It sounds fair to middlin'. There were many pops and ticks, but no skips. I would rated it a 5. 75 6 out of ten. For those who enjoy the historical aspects of this being one of the first concept albums on what appears to be a very early pressing, its flaws can be excused and perhaps even embraced. MOST FORMS OF SHIPPING EXCEPT MEDIA MAIL ARE AUTOMATICALLY INSURED

Tube Three measured 70/70 where minimum (65%) is 50/50 and 100% is 77/77

a fence-like strip on top of the top spacer and dimpled sheet getters

is pretty quiet with some pops and ticks

These three milspec Hytron JAN-CHY-0C3 VR-105 VT-200 regulator tubes were tested on our Paul Hart-calibrated TV7/U

This new old stock-testing matched pair of Sylvania 6AU6 tubes was tested on our Paul Hart-calibrated TV7/U for shorts

Micanol bases

It comes with a nice band and has a 17 jewel AR-18 in-house-made movement which is in excellent shape with no oxidation or water damage

Tube One measured 30 while Tube Two measured 32 where minimum (65%) is 22

Transconductance measured 36/36 for Tube One and 48/48 for Tube Two where minimum (65%) is 32/32
