Rate of Climb / Vertical Speed Indicator, 15 M/S, Luftwaffe Variometer Fl.22386 A-20 This is a Gyrosyn CompassHere is a WWII era Vertical Speed Indicator used in aircraft of the German Luftwaffe, measuring vertical speed in a climb or descent from 15 meters second to + 15 meters second. It is labeled Fl. 22386 (although it appears closer to the Fl. 22384), and was made by Balda Werk, Dresden (oeq) Measures ~3. 25 inches diameter and ~2. 5 inches deep. It is in reasonable condition given its age.
