It has a very nice strong frame around the top that you pull open and it closes with a good firm snap. Off white faille interior which is very clean except for a light line of about 1 2" of pink which may have been lipstick. I did not try to remove it and it is small so it's not worth it. Inside the purse says" By Lumered Corde Bead Made in the U. S. A." I love
