Camille Giroud, Nuits Saint Georges Vaucrains Vintage:2009 bacon fat spectrum of theCroix generally seems to do very well with this wine and 2009 is no exception because despite the reduction that presently compromises the nose, the depth of material on the extremely rich, full bodied and powerful flavors is simply outstanding. The phenolically ripe tannins are quite firm and while the appellation naturally produces robust wines, this is a big wine even by those standards. Patience required but it should be more than worth the wait.
