The 2001 vintage was of course very successful in the southern Rhône and this was luscious and spicy but the tannins were completely resolved and the fruity impact was in retreat
This is certainly Gevrey in character but thanks to the relatively fine-grained tannins it avoids any sense of rusticity
This is another Rutherford vineyard that was made famous by Joe Heitz when he used to produce wine from it
yet it will certainly have a gradual decline as well
